Leopard vs. Vista- Part 1: UI

As you all know, I will be starting a blogging series called  Leopard vs. Vista. In this first part, I will talk about the “UI” of both Leopard and Vista.First, we need to know what UI is.

The user interface (or Human Machine Interface) is the aggregate of means by which people (the users) interact with a particular machine, device, computer program or other complex tool (the system). The user interface provides means of:

* Input, allowing the users to manipulate a system
* Output, allowing the system to produce the effects of the users’ manipulation.

When I first think of Leopard and Mac OS X in general, I think of beautiful, stunning, unique. The reason I like it so much is because Leopard is so easy to use, yet Vista has to many pop-ups, and the blockers do nothing. In the battle over UI, Mac OS X Leopard wins with out a doubt!

Leopard vs. Vista

In the next couple of days, and weeks, I will be starting a blogging series called Leopard vs. Vista. I will be talking about what Leoaprd has, and what Vista doesn’t.

I will say this now….I have knowledge of both operating systems, and I use Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on my PowerBook G4, and I use Microsoft Windows Vista on my AMD Machine.

More to come……

My new Mac!

In this blog post, I have two things to say.

1) Apple Universe is back!

I have been taking a little "break" from Apple Universe for school and such, but now I am back! I recorded Apple Universe Episode #70 today, and will record #71 tomorrow.

Although I am back, there is a new releasing schedule. I will record an episode on Saturday, and a episode on Sunday. I will release the Saturday recording on Monday and the Sunday episode on Thursday. This way the listeners will have something to listen for the whole week. If you have any question about this, please feel free to email me!

2) I have a new Mac!

In episode #70 of Apple Universe, I talked about my new Mac! Its a PowerBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on it! I am very excited about this Mac, and I hope that with this, my Apple experience will be greater!

If you listen to the episode on Monday, you will know how I got it, and the specs of it.

Thank you everyone for your support and birthday wishes (yesterday was my birthday)!

Blog Changes!

My blog hasn’t seen much changes in the past few weeks. The last chnage was the great new header that I put in! I have beent talking with my friends Robert Scoble and Mike Cohen about some changes for the blog.

Robert made a great point saying that "Daniel’s Blog" isn’t very unique, and when you google it, millions of Daniel’s Blogs come up. This brought me up to change the name of my blog.

In the next few weeks, you might some changes here and there, so keep your eyes out!
