I’m honored to announce that I’ll be speaking at the eComm Conference in San Francisco, CA on March 3-5. The eComm Conference is the world’s leading-edge telecom, Internet communications and mobile innovation event. The debut 2008 conference broke a lot of new ground and created a revitalized forum attracting over 300 people, and 80 speakers. Those were the just the stats for last year – 2009’s eComm conference should be even better!
I’ll be speaking on how teenagers are using mobile telecommunications, especially cell phones and the internet. My session will be held at 12:10 until 12:20 PM on Thursday, March 5, in Salon E.
More and more teenagers are getting connected through mobile phones, social networks, and the internet. During 2005, online social network sites like MySpace and Facebook became common destinations for young people in the United States. The rapid adoption of social network sites by teenagers in the United States and in many other countries around the world raises some important questions. Learn why teenagers are using social networks, cell phones and the internet to stay connected with fellow classmates, and teenagers all around the world. You’ll find out why the internet is important to teenagers, and the youth. From mobile development, to video, to the iPhone, to the internet.
If your interested in attending, use the code ‘danielbru‘ to recieve 20% off your ticket price. Hope to see you at my session at the eComm Conference in San Francisco!
UPDATE: My friends at eComm have agreed to give one free ticket away to my readers! Here’s how to win. Post a comment saying why you think you deserve the ticket, and I’ll pick the winner. Good luck!
UPDATE 2: Below are my slides that I’ve posted to SlideShare from eComm. Enjoy!
UPDATE 3: Sam Levin (@samlevin) also Qikked my talk, so you now have video and my slides!
Summer is coming to an end, and on Monday, August 18, school gets back in session for me, and many other students across the world. As another school year starts, it’s best to welcome new technological advancement in schools like classdojo toolkit. For more details about this app, search for https://www.classdojo.com/studentstories/. In my case, this means I can’t work for Qik as much as I am working now. This also means I can’t work as much on my new venture, Teens in Tech.
I am entering my Junior year in the Educators private school, arguably the most important school year before college. Because it will be my most important, I will be focusing more on my studies, then on work/hobbies.

As you all know, I have been a Mac fan for a while. I still do own two Windows PCs though. I have an HP Pavillion 753n and a Voodoo AMD Gaming Machine that Robert Scoble gave to me.
After talking to my parents, we have decided that there is no point having one PC in the closet, and one PC being used. So, in conclusion, we have decided that I will be moving to the PowerBook G4 full time.
I received my Apple Wireless Keyboard yesterday, and I also have a Logitech LX 7 wireless mouse, and a Gem 17″ Display, which will all be connected to the Mac to make a full set-up. My Alesis MultiMix 8 USB mixer will be connected to the Mac, and the MXL microphone will be used as my main microphone.
If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com
P.S. A keyboard update will come soon!
The holiday season is winding down, and all the presents have been opened…..except for Daniel’s! Now that isn’t true, since I got to open my presents today. We will start off with the present that I got my Dad and sister. Since my sister lives in Southern California, I thought to myself, what is the best way to communicate? We talk on IM, we call each other….but I never see her. So I got my dad and sister web cams! I got the GE Easy Cam from Target – Here is a picture:
I gave my Mom a Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 3000. Here is a picture of the mouse:
Next, here are presents that I recieved. First off, my Dad gave me a Maxtor OneTouch 4 500 GB External Hard Drive! I am very happy about this, and will store a lot of images, podcasts, audio, etc.
Also, I got the new Apple Wireless Keyboard!
I have had my eye on the new keyboards ever since they were released, and I love it!
Thank you very much for these great gifts, and happy holidays!
To conclude, here’s a YouTube video that I made, featuring my presents:
Today, I will going to the Apple Store in Burlingame, CA. I probably won’t buy anything, but just look at some stuff, bring my PowerBook G4, and try to do some streaming. 🙂
Take care, and Happy Holidays!
I just want to wish everyone Happy Holidays. 2007 was a great year, when this blog started, Apple Universe was born, and I basically became a really big podcaster!
With out your help, I would be no where!
Thank you very much, and Happy Holidays!

In this blog post, I have two things to say.
1) Apple Universe is back!
I have been taking a little "break" from Apple Universe for school and such, but now I am back! I recorded Apple Universe Episode #70 today, and will record #71 tomorrow.
Although I am back, there is a new releasing schedule. I will record an episode on Saturday, and a episode on Sunday. I will release the Saturday recording on Monday and the Sunday episode on Thursday. This way the listeners will have something to listen for the whole week. If you have any question about this, please feel free to email me!
2) I have a new Mac!
In episode #70 of Apple Universe, I talked about my new Mac! Its a PowerBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on it! I am very excited about this Mac, and I hope that with this, my Apple experience will be greater!
If you listen to the episode on Monday, you will know how I got it, and the specs of it.
Thank you everyone for your support and birthday wishes (yesterday was my birthday)!

My blog hasn’t seen much changes in the past few weeks. The last chnage was the great new header that I put in! I have beent talking with my friends Robert Scoble and Mike Cohen about some changes for the blog.
Robert made a great point saying that "Daniel’s Blog" isn’t very unique, and when you google it, millions of Daniel’s Blogs come up. This brought me up to change the name of my blog.
In the next few weeks, you might some changes here and there, so keep your eyes out!

I just want to say thank you for everyone who has stayed with me from the beginning, and I appreciate that. Now it is time for me to get my priorities straight. As you all know, I am a sophomore at Aragon High School. It is always in my mind that school comes first, but lately, my parents and I feel like school isn’t coming first…and podcasting and blogging is. I do agree with my parents.
That is why I am deciding to go offline for a few weeks….and try to get my priorities straight. Apple Universe and Tech Today will keep on going, and I will release all episodes of Apple Universe that I have right now. Jonno Davies, my co-host for Tech Today can handle Tech Today.
Thank you for understanding,
