Thank you for the support

Hello everybody,

I just want to say thank you for your donations. I have realized that there are less fortunate people who need this money more than I do. I have selected a charity (the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and will donate the money that you have given me. If you do not wish to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, I will gladly refund your money.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me back. I greatly appreciate your generosity and feel that helping others in need is more important than me getting a new computer.
Thank you so much again! Have a great day!

Thanks,
Daniel Brusilovsky

  1. Daniel,
I watched your interview at Scobleizer and I enjoyed every minute of it. Congratulations.
While listening to the interview I rushed to your website only to realize that you decided to donate all the money to a charity. I’m even so more impressed.
Thank you for your initiative and keep up the good work and with the good heart!

  2. Daniel,

I have pledged US$50 towards your chosen charity. My wife was diagnosed with leukemia at age 6, was treated with radiation and chemotherapy, and was declared in full remission at age 15. So you might say I take more than passing interest in the beneficiary you designated.

Your attitude towards philanthropy is admirable, and although there are significant gaps in your general knowledge of computer history, your overall grasp of the state of the personal computer industry is much better than that of most adults I meet. Keep learning, stay curious, strive for humility, and share your knowledge generously with the world.

    Kind regards,

    Victor

  3. Well, I tracked back this page but it’s not up for some reason (delay maybe??). But even so I want to congrat you on your drive and determination. Those were two things I lacked (maybe I even do now) when I was you’re age and already passionate about technology. It’s not only the times that are different: it’s the drive and motivation behind the youngers that can make a difference in society. (wasn’t this the main “thing” behind the hippies in the 60s? Not saying it worked out too good though :p)

Keep it up kid! You’ve estabilished the bases for great success (sounds like Borat every time I say this now… along with “very nice”) since you’ve been given a nice deal of publicity and faced maturely the first impact. I’ll try to keep up to date on your endeavours.

    Regards,

  4. Daniel – as a technology educator, I very impressed with your interview. I applaud your efforts to donate your money to the Leukemia foundation. My son’s best friend died of the disease at age 15, burried on her 16th birthday. I have a feeling that you will be greatly rewarded for your generosity and kind heart. I have also added you to my rss. Thank you for inspiring us! Tina
